Final assignment... and Shut Down of RUS 101 2010

yesterday... 29th october 2010 is the last day of our RUS101 class... feel so sad that we're actually leaving it already. previously, i do hate studio as i need to draw, need to be creative. however, i learned a lot. and realise that i do love studio. this is the place where i get to know people and work together with them. this is where i know my friends. this is where i learn about bamboo and what it can do... learn to draw, etc.

the night i performed..

i'll never forgot what i've learn here... it'll always be in my heart. always will...

to my friends... although next sem we will not see each other often, but i'll always remember the moment we have here, doing assignments at the cafe and messed up the whole place. love u all!!

we're supposed to build the stage for the shut down of the RUS 101 studio on the 27th oct... however it rained the morning so we postponed to the evening around 5pm.

this year closing was different from last year, where they did it at the e48b. now we're having it at the megadome. all of us are required to make a 30 second powerpoint presentation on that night. its gonna be fun. can't believe its ending soon. seems like just yesterday i step my feet on RUS101 class....

9D conference

xzhit!!! the most important event of the whole 1st semester... i wake up early and went to help out at the studio - lots of things to be done...

after that, its time to clean up the place... we went down to the dome site where everyone have their tea.. we didnt manage to have it as we need to take care of the studio..

during the afternoon conference ended, no one volunteers for taking care of the studio... only this few... @@


anyway, due to my duty at the studio, i missed the open ceremony and also the conferences. but i learned a lot here. aims are hard to achieve if there's not proper planing.. no man is an island, we need to unite and get things done!

10c the transformation...

the transformation that i experience the most is creativity...

all this while, i was not a creative person - as i always always think that way. from the day i day i set my foot on RUS 101 studio, everything changed. now i know that, everyone can be creative. i learned how to draw, how to colour, and how to build.

so my 10 words transformation is:

there's no limitation to creativity. it's how you polish it.

dome assemble part 5 (24/10/2010) finale

excited. today is dome assemble day... cant wait to see what happen...
wake up early in the morning and reached the site at 9.00am... but then......

no1 is around... @@

so we went to the studio to see what we can help.. discovered this big tensegrity...

helped to arrange the chair to the back....

then went back to the site and start to work.... argh! its heavy man!

after lunch i went back to the studio... and continued to help out... studio lacked of people.. so i help out there..

before i leave for my drum training... the dome is almost done.. too bad i cant be there..

bamboo ladder done by mr. wan... mr. wan asked me n shu hui to get the chinese drum for the opening or the closing of the RUS 101... i'll try my best to get 1. not tomorrow but for friday night.

overall analysis:
during the construction of the dome, i've gone through a lot. starting from making the strut. i face so much problem and i manage to solve with the help from my friends. some people's strut was stolen while some are rejected.
some also been bang on the head during the assemble.. pity her.. luckily nothing serious happened to her.
throughout this project, we can really see the unity among us. we also interact more with various type of people and work together with them. this inforced our relationships as a HBP students.
although face a lot of hardship, and didnt manage to see the dome up, but its really a great experience for me. i learned how to manage my time, how to work with everyone and how to construct and be creative.

i'll surely miss this project!
